As we shift into new modes of living, there has been a natural focus on our personal environments and the objects that make up these areas. This sparked a curiosity for how these objects could be reimagined as more than their known purposes. Naturally, we were drawn to including a playful component in the object’s evolution in order to bring out everyone’s inner child.

01      SEESAW VASE

A seesaw (also known as a teeter-totter or teeterboard) is a long, narrow board supported by a single pivot point, most commonly located at the midpoint between both ends; as one end goes up, the other goes down. The presence of the other is always felt even without a physical connection. This piece is a dedication to our Mothers.

00    FORM TYPEFACE

FORM is designed with the intent of being a visual anchor. Although the foundation builds on utilitarian blocks, it highlights the thoughtful intersections of space using playful curves contrasted by straight edges. This approach was inspired by Aldo Van Eyck’s playgrounds. His playgrounds were anchored in a sand pit that provided a space for his simple structures to inspire imaginative play.
